   1. SST gradient and Currents (Gulf Stream)
   2. Upwelling
   3. Sea Ice
   4. Sediments
2. Introduce altimetery measurements
3. Transfer knowledge and principles of radiative transfer to satellite imagery

Prerequisite

1. Knowledge of basic ocean currents
2. Ability to interpret visible, infrared and water vapor imagery from satellites.
3. Understanding of the basics of El Nino
