Objectives
Pilots must know how to read weather maps and decode METARS. You already have been exposed to decoding METARS, and we will visit that topic again soon. The objectives of this lesson is learning how to read and interpret weather maps. Unfortunately, the book does not do a good job on reading surface weather maps. The Background and Practice sections should provide you with all the information you need.
