density, pressure and altimetry. There are two parts to this assignment,
one short answer and one multiple choice quiz.
Assignment
1: Quiz
This is a mulitple choice quiz
consisting of approximately 15 questions. Each question is
worth 2 points. You will only have one chance at doing this
exam. The multiple choice questions are automatically graded.
Imagine that you are flying at
an altitude of about 5,000 feet and your temperature is 12
C. What
would you estimate the temperature to be at 7,000 feet? How
did you make this estimate?
Now suppose that as you were flying at 5,000
feet and you encountered a colder air layer at this altitude.
Would you expect this to impact the current altitdue?
