Use the Java applet below to access the net radiation for July 1986 and January 1986. Units are Watts per meter squared. A positive value of net radiation indicates a net radiative energy gain for the region and a negative value a net radiative energy loss. Select the region between 60N and 60S and perform a N-S average, or a zonal average. Explain the differences. (You can load additional data to validate your hypothesis.)
